What are 'Rangers?'
Rangers are people who protect the wildlife of Great Barrier Island and Little Barrier Island. These amazing people might seem like their life is amazing but some things that Rangers have to put up with.
Bad things
1 - Having to see an animal that's lived there for 15 years, die :(
2 - Getting bitten by some animals

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your thoughts on what it would be like to work as a DOC ranger. I would hate to look after an animal for 15 years and then see it die. I think it might be worse to work in Australia where there are far more deadlier animals.
Do you think it would get lonely working as a DOC ranger?
I think I might miss working with lots of different people in a busy city.
You've posted a couple of reasons why it's a bad thing to work as a DOC ranger but can you think of any reasons why it might be a good job?
