Kia ora Cleo,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing your very first activity on the Summer Learning Journey this year. I am so excited to see so many of the students at Christ the King kick starting their journey so early. This is incredible. We have about 70 students already participating in the programme this year. Isn't that incredible.
What a great way to kick start your journey, you have shared three really interesting facts. I also learnt that 30% of New Zealand was covered by forest. This is why our country is so unique and beautiful. I am lucky enough to live on the edge of a native bush, which is like a small scale forest. Have you been to a forest in New Zealand before? If so, where about in the country was the forest that you visited?
I am so proud of our little country to be the first in the world to grant women the right to vote in 1893. This was a bold move that encouraged other countries to follow in our foot steps. It is awesome to see that you found this fact interesting as it was a huge movement within our little country.
Thank you for starting the programme so promptly. I am excited to see more of your incredible posts over the summer.
I hope you are enjoying your holidays,
Megan :)
