Week 1 ~ Day 4 - Activity 1

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to scale Mt Everest.

These are the five questions I'd like to ask him!

1 - What did you find most challenging about climbing the mountain?

2 - Did you slip while climbing and did it scare you?

3 - Did you ever think about giving up?

4 - Did people recognize you whenever you went out?

5 - Are you proud that your face was put on the 5 Dollar note?

  1. Hello again Cleo, it is Billy here from the Summer Learning Journey team. Thank you for crafting and sharing five different questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary during in an interview.

You've started off with a really good question. I am sure there would be a lot of different challenging factors with climbing Mount Everest, but finding out what the most challenging thing is would be really interesting.

Your third question is fantastic as well. It encourages Sir Edmund Hillary to open up about mental and emotional hurdles that he would have had to overcome. I am sure people would love to listen his answer.

Do you think you would ever like to climb a mountain? Why, why not?

Google Mount Everest summit and check out all the flags that have littered the peak of the mountain. It's a little bit sad I think.

    Thanks, Billy.
